According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the sale process for Manchester United are still in progress and not on hold, contrary to previous reports.
Jacobs states that the bidders are currently awaiting further communication and are prepared to take the next step if they are chosen by the club.
Insiders close to the sellers claim that the delays in the Man United takeover are attributed to issues with the Qatari bidders.
There is a strained relationship between the Raine Group and Qatar, making the process more complicated. The Glazer family have always favoured Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani as their preferred choice for the takeover.
This remains the case. #MUFC sale process hasn’t been paused, as previously reported. Groups say they’re waiting for further communication and ready if chosen. Yet counter-suggestions (as we’ve seen throughout) from those close to sellers insist Qatar are in fact behind delays.🔴 https://t.co/oPkQp4DqVN

They reportedly reached out to Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to convince the Qatar Islamic Bank chairman to increase his bid for the club.
Sheikh Jassim initially sought advice from the PSG chief regarding the club’s valuation, but he has not yet submitted the £6 billion that the Glazers are seeking for the deal.
Despite the potential naming of a preferred bidder during the week, the takeover is not expected to be completed before the start of the new season.
Both United’s current owners and the potential buyers seem content to wait until the summer transfer window is closed before continuing negotiations for the club’s sale.
Developments regarding the potential sale would take place this week once the team returned from their pre-season tour. However, as of now, there has been no official clarification, leading to growing frustration among United fans.
