Manchester United schedule meeting with Victor Osimhen’s agent

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester United has scheduled a meeting with the representatives of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen next week.

United are actively seeking a high-profile centre-forward for the summer transfer window, and Osimhen has frequently been linked with the club.

The journalist further reveals that Chelsea and Liverpool are also prepared to hold talks with the player’s camp. Osimhen, who scored 31 goals for Napoli in the previous season, has expressed a priority for a move to the Premier League.

The Nigerian striker had a fantastic season with Napoli, playing a crucial role in their Serie A title win after a 30-year wait.

The 24-year-old has been linked with numerous top European clubs recently, but the main question is whether any team can afford his services.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known for being a tough negotiator and is unlikely to lower his valuation for Osimhen.

Currently, the player is priced at €150 million, and De Laurentiis is willing to retain him for another season if his transfer value is not met.

Man United has the financial capability to pay substantial fees, as evidenced by their €100 million signing of Antony from Ajax last summer.

However, their situation has changed, with manager Erik Ten Hag now having to work with a limited budget due to Financial Fair Play considerations.

It has been reported that Ten Hag has a pre-sales budget of £120 million (€140 million), which is unlikely to change even if a takeover occurs.

We believe that the Red Devils will not break the British transfer record to sign the in-form striker. While selling players could increase their transfer funds, it is unlikely that they will make such a significant expenditure.
