Manchester United is currently scouting Aberdeen wonderkid Calvin Ramsay, according to The Mirror.
This season, he has put up some outstanding displays in the Scottish Premier League and many English clubs have been looking at the chance to sign him.
Manchester United recently send scouts to analyze the 18-year old as he played against the Rangers in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Pittodrie.
Leicester City, Southampton, and Leeds United are all monitoring the player, adding to the list of clubs interested in signing the teenager. Based on what we’ve seen so far, Ramsay has the potential to become a regular in the Premier League in the future if he continues to gain more experience in Scotland.
This season, the Scotland U21 international has made 20 appearances and has eight assists in all competitions. Although mostly a right-back, Calvin Ramsay can also play as a right-sided midfielder.
Manchester United needs a right-back with an ability to shine in both attack and defence. Diogo Dalot possesses excellent attacking skills, but his defensive output is not convincing. Another right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the exact opposite.
Ramsay may require some time to adapt to the English League but can be a star of the future if he continues to perform consistently. United will be scouting him more often and will be looking for a chance to snatch him for a relatively cheaper price.
