Manchester United set to announce new manager by end of April

Manchester United are set to announce their new manager by end of April following an intense hunt for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent successor.

The Old Trafford camp are looking at some of the biggest names in world football to take over the managerial reigns from the interim boss Ralf Ragnick who succeeded Solskjaer following the latter’s sacking.

According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are in the fray besides a surprise contender in the Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Pochettino, currently in charge of the Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, has his future with the Parisians subject to much speculation following the club’s Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid earlier this week.

It is also suggested that Ragnick, hired initially on a short-term basis, is keen on securing the permanent appointment despite Manchester United’s mixed fortunes under the German manager who took over in the backend of last year.
