As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United will take on Fulham on the FA Cup quarterfinal match at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils defeated West Ham United in the fifth round to advance to the quarterfinals. This is United’s fourth straight home draw in a row in the FA Cup. They will host the Cottages on the 18/19th of March.
United fans will be happy that their club was not paired against their fierce rivals, Manchester City. Yet it won’t be easy to face high-flying Fulham. They easily knocked out Leeds United last night.
Marco Silva’s team is now ranked sixth in the Premier League with 39 points to their name. Fulham is dreaming about playing in Europe, and they have a chance this season. The last time both teams faced each other, Alejandro Garnacho scored the winning goal for United.
Fulham will be eager to take revenge for that unfortunate defeat, but they must do it at Old Trafford, which has served as a fortress for United this year.
After winning the Carabao Cup last weekend, Erik ten Hag will be hopeful his team will provide a tough competition at Wembley Stadium.
