As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United will be travelling without five key players ahead of the Europa League contest against Sheriff.
The Red Devils will miss Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Martin Dubravka. However, Luke Shaw has been included in the squad as he marked a return from his foot injury.
Rashford and Wan-Bissaka are also training with the squad but couldn’t make up for the clash. They didn’t train in the Wednesday morning’s training session.
Van de Beek was not included in either if the matches against Real Sociedad and Sheriff. Marc Jurado trained with the senior side on Wednesday but he was not included in the match day squad.
With the absence of Dubravka, young goalkeeper, Radek Vitek has been added to the squad for the clash against Sheriff in Chisinau.
All new signings have been included in the list except Dubravka. Antony, Casemiro, Eriksen and Malacia are expected to start whereas Martinez maybe benched as a precautionary measure.
The match against Sheriff will be a crucial one for the Reds after their awful defeat against Real Sociedad last week. A win will make things easier for Erik ten Hag in the group stages of this competition.
