According to Fabrizio Romano, the Toulouse midfielder Branco van den Boomen has attracted interest from numerous clubs in Italy, Spain, Germany, and France.
Manchester United could eye the 27-year-old star as there is less competition for his signature.
The Dutch midfielder should be the one to watch in the forthcoming transfer windows. Van den Boomen had a standout season in 2021–2022, helping Toulouse earn promotion to Ligue 1 by winning Ligue 2 with a four-point margin over Ajaccio.
The Eindhoven-born player racked up 12 goals and 21 assists in Ligue 2, making a significant contribution to the team’s overall success.
Toulouse has performed admirably in the top division of French football this year. They have 16 points from 12 games, which puts them in tenth place overall. Van den Boomen has participated in all of those games and has so far recorded one goal and four assists in Ligue 1. The Dutch star signed a contract that would expire in June 2023 after joining Toulouse in 2020. The midfielder is one of the most fascinating talents available to clubs all over Europe.
For Manchester United, this could be a great opportunity as fewer clubs are currently interested in the midfielder’s services. With time, many elite clubs will soon join the race and as Van den Boomen’s contract will expire soon, Toulouse will be in a position to demand less fee for the player.

The Dutchman has also revealed that he might be free to leave the club next summer if the right offer comes through.
The 27-year-old will help the manager in providing much needed-squad depth, however, with less interest, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will truly go all-out for his signature next summer.
