Manchester United have always been a club that has given a chance to youngsters to showcase their skills and talent. This summer transfer window was another instance showing how heavily Manchester United have invested in young players. It has now been reported by DailyStar that Manchester United have signed 18-year Facundo Pellistri from Penarol, an Uruguayan club.
The Red Devils have invested heavily this summer in the youth as United have also signed Amad Diallo from Atalanta. Both Pellistri and Amad Diallo are expected to come directly into the first-team squad even though both of the players are only 18-years old. It has also been reported that ex-United striker Diego Forlan has suggested Solskjaer to sign Pellistri, to which Manchester United responded well.
It was reported later last night that Manchester United had activated his release clause of Facundo Pellistri. The Uruguayan has signed a five-year deal with Manchester United as he looks to step into European football. Though touted for his pace and skills, Pellistri needs to enhance his qualities a lot more to have any chance of playing for United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to get the best out of the summer signings this season if he wants to have any chance of winning silverware.
