Manchester United FC were reportedly in the lookout of a right-winger and prioritized a move for Jadon Sancho, which ultimately failed. The Red Devils were close to signing Jadon Sancho, who was labelled as the priority signing but pulled out of a move for the Englishman after six months of negotiations. It has now been reported by Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano that United agreed on a fee or Amad Diallo.
Amad Diallo is an 18-year old right-winger from Atalanta, who has been scouted by Manchester United. Many believe he will be the next big thing in world football and has silky skills and moves with the ball at his feet. Even the Atalanta captain, Papu Gomez has come out in his praise saying: “He plays like Messi. There are defenders in the first team that sometimes cannot stop him”.
It has now been reported that the Ivorian winger will join Manchester United for about €41m, with an initial payment of €21m plus €20m in add-ons. But, the winger will only join Manchester United in January due to issues in work-permit. The youngster hasn’t played a lot of football in the Serie-A thus there will be massive risk attached to such a signing.

Manchester United’s last-ditch try to bring in a right-winger has resulted in spending very high fees for a player who is yet to establish himself. Only time will tell if he goes on to fulfil his potential or is just another average player.
