Manchester United has identified Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as a potential summer target and has made contact with his agent to negotiate a deal.
The Nigerian striker was brought for a club-record fee of roughly €70 million in 2019. He is open to leaving Naples this summer and is excited by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
Newcastle United and Arsenal are also interested in signing Osimhen, with the former having had a January bid rejected by Napoli.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Osimhen’s representative has informed club president Aurelio De Laurentiis of Manchester United and Arsenal’s interest, as well as his client’s intention to leave this summer.

Napoli is seeking roughly £84 million for the release of their record signing, and the price could rise if the suitors engage in a bidding war.
The 23-year-old has been a key member of Napoli’s top-four finish in Serie A this season, scoring 16 goals and providing five assists in 28 games.
Before making any approach for Osimhen, the Red Devils would have to talk with newly hired manager Erik ten Hag, who wants to have the ultimate word on all transfer deals.
Ten Hag is allegedly interested in signing Ajax striker Sebastien Haller this summer, as well as bringing Brazilian winger Antony to Old Trafford.
Ten Hag does not want to spend a large sum of money on one or two players, despite having a transfer budget of over £200 million, because additions are needed in other parts of the pitch as well.
