As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United star Christian Eriksen has won the September player of the month award after receiving the majority of the votes. He has pipped Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to grab the honours for his spectacular performances this month.
The Danish playmaker has been showing his worth since moving to Old Trafford on a free transfer. He was instrumental in the club’s three wins out of four games in September. Eriksen’s dominance in the midfield alongside Scott McTominay is slowly turning heads in the Premier League.
The 30-year-old put up a great showing in the win against Leicester City before demolishing Arsenal with a sublime display at the theatre of dreams. He had a big role to play in Marcus Rashford’s first goal before providing an assist to Bruno Fernandes.
He was also announced as the man of the match against Sheriff in the Europa League. Surprisingly, the last four players of the month awards have been picked up by our new summer signings.
Eriksen didn’t have a great start to the season as the club lost the games against Brighton and Brentford. However, with the midfielder’s rise to stardom, Erik Ten Hag has made him a key starting XI player under his reign.
