According to Evening Standard, Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo returned to the first-team squad training session on Monday.
The English star had initially joined the Red Devils on their pre-season tour of the United States for the 2023-24 season, but unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury during a match against Real Madrid.
Following his ankle injury during the pre-season, Mainoo returned to the UK for a more detailed evaluation, which confirmed he would be unavailable for the early weeks of the season.
The young talent has been diligently working on his rehabilitation and seems to be nearing a return to full fitness.

Mainoo’s comeback is excellent news for manager Erik ten Hag, who has been grappling with numerous injury problems in recent times.
Among the sidelined players are Argentina’s defender Lisandro Martinez, who now joins the ranks of Luke Shaw, Amad Diallo, Tyrell Malacia, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the injured list, and it appears he will be unavailable for several months.
It remains uncertain whether the youngster will participate in tomorrow’s match, but if he is fully fit and ready, he is likely to be included in the Premier League matchday squad against Brentford on Saturday.
The midfielder made his competitive debut in January 2023, starting in a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory against Charlton Athletic and later making his league debut in February as a substitute in a 3-0 win over Leicester City.
