Jadon Sancho’s transfer saga has taken a significant turn, with Manchester United now presenting a much-improved bid to Borussia Dortmund.
The Red Devils made an underlying offer a couple of days before which comprised of a deal that includes £67 million upfront and in addition to around £8m in add ons. This bid was allegedly rejected by Borussia Dortmund as they adhered to their £77.5 million asking price.
The most recent report from Sky Sports uncovers that United has expanded their proposal to more than £75m, paying cash upfront and the rest in attainable add ons.
This proposal is thought to be examined by Dortmund who will look to sell their star player this summer for the right price. Sancho’s agreement with Dortmund expires in the mid of 2023.
The Bundesliga club needs to sell a few of their players to recover some cash to balance their financial books which have been hugely affected by COVID-19. Sancho is a generational talent, and paying £75m would not be a bad deal on the off chance that he can repeat his same spectacular form at Old Trafford.
He was sensational in another sublime season with Dortmund, scoring 16 goals and creating 20 assists for the team. The 21-year old will give a truly necessary spark to United’s attack which is inconsistent in the long run of games.
