Manchester United have been linked with a move for Porto left-back Alex Telles for a couple of weeks now. With the last week of transfer window in sight, United have accelerated negotiations with Porto to sign the 27-year old Telles. It is now being reported by The Guardian that the Red Devils have tabled their first bid for Alex Telles and want to sign him seriously.
As reported earlier, Alex Telles is in the last year of his contract at Porto and doesn’t want to extend his contract there. He is keen on moving to Manchester United and believes he will be a Red Devil soon. Telles is believed to provide cover and competition for Luke Shaw at the left-back spot.
It is now being reported that Manchester United have tabled their first bid for Telles of about £12m. On the other hand, Porto wants £18m for their talisman but Telles believes United’s valuation of him is right. Telles is in the last year of his contract and could join United for free in a pre-contract in only three months.
Manchester United should wrap this deal up as soon as possible and concentrate on other arrivals and departures into and out of Old Trafford.
