Manchester United are stacked in the full-back department, as the Red Devils squad has Telles, Shaw, Brandon Williams, Wan-Bissaka and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. Fosu-Mensah has had a difficult career at Manchester United as he has had problems with multiple injuries. It is now being reported by the Manchester Evening News that Manchester United are considering to give Timothy Fosu-Mensah a new contract as he is in the final year of his contract.
Fosu-Mensah is one of the quickest players in the Manchester United squad and is also very versatile. The Dutch international can play as a full-back and also as a centre-back but has barely broken into the Manchester United first-team. But whenever he has played, Fosu-Mensah has done well with his latest chance being against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
It has been reported that Manchester United are planning to offer Fosu-Mensah a new contract soon. The Dutchman has about seven months left in his existing contract and Solskjaer wants him to stay at the club. The defender doesn’t get a lot of chances these days but still, Solskjaer wants Fosu-Mensah to stay.
Manchester United should offer Fosu-Mensah a new contract as the club needs to have his experience as an option for the team.
