According to the latest reports, Manchester United are preparing to invest heavily in their squad this summer transfer window with the signing of several new players at the club.
The club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward reassured the United faithful at a recent forum that they would be active in the forthcoming transfer market which opens at the end of the season.
The Red Devils have fallen from their grace over the last few years and it has allowed their fiercest of rivals to grow from strength to strength at a tremendous rate while the slump for United has been on a massive downward trajectory.
The red side of Manchester is currently on 8th place on the Premier League table and still six points behind Chelsea who occupy the fourth spot which automatically guides them into the Champions League next season.
Despite showing a few improvements, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under heavy scrutiny for the players underperforming below the high standards that have been set by the club.
Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has stated that there will be new arrivals in the summer as part of the rebuilding at the club.
The 48-year-old Englishman has also come under heavy abuse from the United fans but sent out a message this week, “As part of the rebuild we see this coming summer as an important opportunity, Our focus is on bringing in a combination of experience and the best young players with potential to develop further, fusing graduates from our academy with high-quality acquisitions. Our recruitment process focuses on the analysis and selection of players over the course of a season, with a view to the following summer transfer window.”
