Manchester United told to pay €45 million to sign Roma striker Tammy Abraham

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are targeting AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham this summer.

The former Chelsea attacker joined Roma at the beginning of the previous campaign, and the Italian team immediately used him in their starting XI.

Abraham scored 27 goals in all competitions last season and assisted Roma in winning the UEFA Europa Conference League. According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham and United are now attempting to lure him back to the Premier League.

The English star is reportedly worth €45 million as per the club. And it’s still unclear if the Red Devils are willing to pay that much to sign the 25-year-old.

Abraham has scored nine goals and provided seven assists this season. He might turn out to be a good addition to the two clubs. This season, United has become unduly dependent on attacker Marcus Rashford. However, in the upcoming seasons, the England international will require more help in attack.

By bringing in Abraham, Rashford will be able to play his natural position as the left winger, and the former Chelsea player may even start at the front of the queue for the Red Devils.

The Roma star is also still rather young and is probably going to get better with training and experience. He might turn out to be a wise long-term investment for United.

Abraham is familiar with the Premier League and ought to be able to adapt easily and have an early impact. For a player of his calibre, the estimated asking price of €40–€45 million sounds realistic, and he might end up paying for himself in the long term.

The player’s contract includes a buyback option for Chelsea, who have previously been linked with a return to the club. For the player, the chance to play in the Premier League would be an alluring option.

Abraham believes that playing regularly for a strong Premier League team will increase his chances of starting for his nation frequently.

The chance to play for United, who are anticipated to return to the Champions League the following season, may be difficult to pass up.
