Eric Bailly once again features on the Manchester United bench as Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s men play hosts to Newcastle United in the weekend showdown at Old Trafford.
Fresh on the back of what was a memorable outing in European football earlier this week courtesy of a 4-0 away win at Spanish side Real Sociedad, the Red Devils shift their focus towards domestic action swiftly and hope to climb over Leicester City into the second spot should they secure a win over the Magpies.
Dan James retains his place in the XI for Manchester United after his fantastic showing in the Europea League during the midweek game in Spain and the Wales international is joined by the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to provide the hosts with attacking firepower.
Luke Shaw is preferred over new recruit Alex Telles following the former maintaining an incredible run of form at left-back ever since Telles arrived at Old Trafford to much fanfare in the last summer.
Scott McTominay is deemed unfit for the clash and taking the in-form midfielder’s place in the centre of the park is Namanja Matic.
Here are the confirmed lineups for both the teams
