After drawing their first Project Restart game against Spurs, Manchester United FC will now host Sheffield United on 24th June. Sheffield lost their latest fixture 3-0 against Newcastle United FC.
The fixture, which is to be held at Old Trafford, is of paramount importance to both sides. The Red Devils are seated fifth in the Premier League table, while the Blades are seventh. Both teams will take the field with next season’s Champions League spot in mind.
With the 2019-20 season being Sheffield’s first in the Premier League, the Blades have exceeded expectations with their superb performances.
Manchester United FC, on the other hand, have performed reasonably well since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes. The attacking midfielder upon joining the side in January has transformed the Red Devils midfield. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are on a 12-match unbeaten streak and would hope to continue that run.

TEAM NEWS
The Red Devils can boast of having no injury troubles ahead of their upcoming fixture against Sheffield. Both Phil Jones and Alex Tuanzebe should be available for selection come Wednesday evening. The centre-half pairing had missed the game against Tottenham Hotspurs.
However, the availability of Swedish international Victor Lindelof is a major doubt for Wednesday. The centre-half had to be substituted during the game against Spurs after the 25-year old suffered a knock.
However, in the absence of Lindelof, Eric Bailey should take his place alongside Harry Maguire in the heart of the defence.
Following an impressive performance after coming off the bench against Spurs, Paul Pogba is a major candidate for the Solskjaer’s starting lineup. The French international was terrific in the 20 odd minutes he got at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. He was instrumental in Red Devils scoring as he won the penalty which was dispatched by Fernandes.
As for the Blades, the most notable absence would be that of Dean Henderson. The 23-year old goalkeeper has been of the most consistent performers in Chris Wilder’s side. However, the player won’t be able to take the field due to him being a Manchester United FC loanee at Sheffield United.
John Egan was sent off in the Blade’s loss to Newcastle United FC. As a result, the Irish international would miss the game at Old Trafford.
