Manchester United host Watford this Saturday at Old Trafford in a fierce Premier League fixture looking forward to extend their 7 games unbeaten streak.
Last time out, the Red Devils were handed a 4-1 defeat at Vicarage Road, resulting in Ole being sacked. Joshua King opened the books within the first 28 minutes of the game followed by Ismaila Sarr’s clinical finishing. Meanwhile, United gave away two penalties and De Gea as usual was the man saving United from embarrassment. The game could have ended 6-1 or 7-1 but De Gea was the man responsible for saving United yet again.
Donny scored the only goal for United in the 50th minute of the game. Harry Maguire was shown two yellow cards helping Watford attack without any hesitation and which eventually helped them to score two more goals in the extra-time.
Emmanuel Dennis is on a scintillating form and has been scoring on every occasion. United needs to strengthen their defence and prevent Dennis and Joshua King duo from taking those shots and making those crucial assists.
On the other hand, Elanga has started to produce some wonderful results helping United get a taste of victory. What a way to mark his debut Champions League goal against Atletico Madrid in the first-leg of the Round of 16! Ragnick has done a commendable job in not letting Elanga join some other club on loan.
In the last 5 games, Watford has won only one game with two draws and two hefty defeats. On the other hand, in the last five Premier League games The Red Devils have won 3 games and other two games ended as a draw. United cannot afford to lose a single point at this crucial stage of the league.
The race for the top 4 is becoming intriguing day by and especially when Spurs were handed a 1-0 defeat to Burnley over the weekend, resulting in a serious turn of events.
United are currently at the 4th spot (46 points) with 26 games and Spurs at 8th spot (39 points) with still two games in hand. On the other side of the table there is Arsenal, West Ham and Wolves who are also in this race, desperate to get that Champions League spot. Wolves are at 5th spot (43 points) with 25 games played, Arsenal at 7th spot (42 points) with two games in hand and there’s West Ham at 6th spot (42 points) with 26 games played.
