Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United would harbour hopes of progressing further into the FA Cup when they take on Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
The Red Devils’ latest outing witnessed them come out second best to arch-rivals Manchester City in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup, with Pep Guardiola’s side booking their spot in the final of the cup competition at the expense of their city foes.
Solskjaer, however, will surely be hoping from a much-improved display from his players when squaring up against Watford, with a crunch Premier League meeting with fellow table-toppers Liverpool looming large for the Old Trafford giants.
United’s form prior to the misfiring display in the 2-0 loss to Manchester City was tremendous, to say the least, and the supporters would be looking forward to a similar sort of convincing show from their team at home turf over the weekend.

TEAM NEWS
A heavily-tinkered eleven could take the field at Old Trafford against Watford buoyed by speculation that Solskjaer is keen on giving some much-deserved rest to the first-team regulars.
Summer signing Facundo Pellistri is in line to be handed a start for the FA Cup clash as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are tipped to drop down to the bench with the upcoming top-flight fixtures in mind.
Edinson Cavani remains suspended for the upcoming game, the Uruguayan international serving the final game of his three-match ban.

— Manchester United (@ManUtd) January 8, 2021
Even in the event of a fringe United lineup facing Watford at home territory, we do not see Solskajer’s side leaving the Old Trafford pitch without booking their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
We predict the Red Devils to hand a 3-0 defeat to the Hornets come Saturday night in Manchester.
