Sir Alex Ferguson was not requited a win in his comeback at United after his brain operation. The lack of intent from Man United players, the aggressive approach from Wolves and the creativity and dynamism of away side sums up the game at Old Trafford. Just 6 games into the league, United have already denounced themselves as the title contenders. They are 8 points away from the first held Liverpool but the Red Devils have already made it hard for them to create a staunch stand.
From the start it looked like United were finding out new ways to dispirit the fans. Three chances in the opening 15 minutes made it transparent that Wolves will be playing with an attacking intent. Although, it was the home team that took the lead after a deft touch from Paul Pogba to Fred, later the Brazilian smashing the ball through Wolves’ defence into the net from the edge of box. Rui Patricio could barely reach the corner of net.
Manchester were successful some way or the other to neutralise the attack of Wolves but Moutinho showed his quality, guiding the ball into the top corner. His shot left the best goalkeeper in the world bewildered. Not only the pacy it’s accuracy made it onerous for De Gea to jump off the ground.
Building pressure with swift play, rushing through the defenders, and forcing errors the Wolves team did play out of their skins. Seeing the last 6 results none would have thought that the match would turn out a draw. Sweating their bodies off, the Wolves ended a happy team taking a point where before the start of the game they were expected to have none.
Jose Mourinho was not at all contented with his teams effort and their feeble performance. And why would he be, team so strong should not give away such easy points if they want to come up top and triumph for glory.
