Manchester United’s final game of the year witnesses Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make a host of changes to a side that drew 2-2 against Leicester City on Saturday.
Facing an in-form Wolves at Old Trafford, Solskjaer has opted to reshuffle his options in the centre of the park as Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic are drafted into the XI as the hosts’ primary central midfielders.
Mason Greenwood replaces Daniel James in the Red Devils frontline, with Anthony Martial also being relegated to the bench to make way for summer signing Edinson Cavani.
In the United backline, however, injury concerns sideline Victor Lindelof from filling in at centre-park following him starting on the right side of defence over the weekend in the absence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who returns to the XI.
Alex Telles comes in for Luke Shaw at the left-back spot, clear evidence of Solskjaer’s intentions for his side to go on their attacking best when squaring up against Nuno Espírito Santo’s men.
