#3 PAUL SCHOLES –

Arguably one of the best midfielders of the modern era, Paul Scholes was an ever-present figure in his time at Old Trafford. The midfielder started as an out-and-out attacking midfielder but later changed to a deeper central midfield role. Starting his United career in the year of 1994, Paul Scholes finally hanged his boots remaining a one-club man.

The majestic midfield maestro played 18 seasons at Old Trafford, becoming of the most decorated footballers in the history of the modern game. Scholes in his time at United made a whopping 718 appearances in all competitions and won 25 major titles with Manchester United.

Scholes won a total 11 Premier League titles, three FA Cups, a couple of Champions League trophies and the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup. All his records are a testimony to the fact that Scholes has been a legend at Manchester United and why Old Trafford adores him.

#2 SIR BOBBY CHARLTON –

Sir Bobby Charlton is regarded as one of the best players Manchester United and England have ever produced. Charlton was an attacking midfielder and had a goalscoring rate that even a striker would be proud of. The 1966 Ballon d’Or winner played at Manchester United for 17 years and ended his playing career at Old Trafford.

Charlton had the privilege to play in some of the best United sides, forming a formidable trio with George Best and Dennis Law. The trio was known as United’s attacking trinity and also has a statute of them outside Old Trafford. The midfielder is Manchester United’s second-highest all-time goalscorer in all competitions with a whopping 249 goals.

The United legend played 758 games for the Manchester club with only two appearances as a substitute. This record is a testimony to his greatness, consistency and impact at Old Trafford.

#1 RYAN GIGGS –

One of the most under-rated players of modern football, Ryan Giggs is irreplaceable in the Manchester United folklore. The Welsh winger played for the Red Devils for a massive 23 years and scored in every season he played in. Giggs was a versatile player who could play according to the manager’s needs and was thus one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s favourite.

Ryan Giggs is also United’s highest assist maker along with being the highest assist provider in the Premier League’s history. Giggs played his entire career at Old Trafford before hanging his boots in the year of 2014. In his 23 years at Old Trafford, the Welshman made a total of 963 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.

Giggs accumulated a total of 34 major titles in his career at United along with 13 Premier League titles. The Welshman has also won four FA Cup titles, nine Community Shields, a couple of Champions League titles and the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.
