The Italian giants, Juventus are more than happy to welcome their former player Paul Pogba and exchange him with Miralem Pjanic or Douglas Costa to Manchester United, claims many top Italian football media outlets.
The Sky Sport Italia transfer expert spoke to Sky Sports UK recently and confirmed some stories that had already emerged in Italy and England over the last few weeks.
It is a well known fact in and around the Manchester United’s management and fans that the ace midfielder is unhappy at his present club and has hinted many times about his departure to other clubs, preferably to the Spanish giants Real Madrid over the course of last two seasons.
The French international and the FIFA World Cup 2018 winner has scored 31 goals in 168 appearances for the Manchester United over the course of six seasons in the club. He plays in the midfield for the club and has been a crucial backbone of the Manchester United’s midfield since his arrival from Juventus in 2016.
It had been suggested that the 27 year old could return back to his former club in Turin, but with the Coronavirus lockdown affecting transfer fees and the structure of the transfer market many speculations are being put forth. The fact that Paul Pogba has only one year left on his contract at Manchester United, the club management are hoping for approximately €150 million for the ace midfielder.
Instead, Di Marzio and many Italian media sources are arguing that this is likely to be an exchange deal involving one or even two players between Juventus and Manchester United.
Juventus have several who are on the way out, including Pjanic and Douglas Costa, and can also throw in other players like Alex Sandro and Blaise Matuidi if the United’s management are interested in them.
The Italian champions and Turin based Bianconeri face tough competition from PSG of Ligue 1 and Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are trying desperately from last season, for Pogba’s signature.
The transfer of Paul Pogba might solve the midfield crisis of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United along with providing them some financial flexibility with this record transfer deal.
