Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to make it two wins in two games to start off the Premier League season as they prepare for a tough test at the Molineaux against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.
United started off their new season with a thumping 4-0 win over Chelsea last weekend as the new summer signings Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan Bissaka and Daniel James capped off a perfect day at Old Trafford. Wolves will provide a sterner test for Solskjaer’s men as they remained undefeated against United last season.
Eric Baily seems like the only player who would be missing out from a place in the squad in defense as the Ivorian is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines through injury. Chilean star Alexis Sanchez is nearing full fitness but Inter Milan are closing in to sign the 29-year-old winger before the summer window shuts in the next two weeks.
Andreas Pereira impressed in midfield as the youngster replaced the veteran Nemanja Matic as the Serbian is still not available for selection. Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford were quite fabulous on the night that United destroyed Chelsea and will play a pivotal part if United are to get all three points against Nuno Espirito Sanchez’ side.
With Jesse Lingard providing less spark in attack for the Red Devils, the 46-year-old Norwegian manager will look to start Mata and try and keep as few changes as possible.
Manchester United’s Probable Starting Eleven- De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Pereira, McTominay, Pogba, Mata, Martial, Rashford.
