Manchester United has submitted their retained list to the Premier League, setting the stage for the upcoming season. Discussions are ongoing with Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton about potential new contracts, while Omari Forson has formally been offered a new deal.
As previously announced, Anthony Martial will leave the club after a notable nine-year tenure. The forward, with 90 goals in 317 games, helped United win the Europa League, the FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups.
Another Frenchman, Raphael Varane, will also leave after three years and 95 games, adding a loof skill and class to the back line while at Old Trafford
Academy kid Brandon Williams will go when his deal ends. Williams, who came to the club at age nine, played in 51 games for the first team and will stay linked to the club through the Alumni program. Also, Benfica has exercised the option to purchase Alvaro Fernandez on a permanent basis after a loan deal.

Discussions continue with Shola Shoretire about a potential new deal. Charlie McNeill, who played for the first time against Real Sociedad in September 2022, is also looking for new opportunities. Marcus Lawrence and Kie Plumley will also exit when their current terms end.
The club expressed pride in their departing young players, promising to support them in finding new clubs and providing a bespoke aftercare programme, ensuring they maintain a lifelong association with Manchester United. Under-21s player-coach, Tom Huddlestone will also depart after two seasons of valuable mentorship in his innovative role.
