Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has admitted that he could go for surgery soon after the European Championship is completed.
As reported by The Daily Star, the United superstar has additionally confessed to be playing with an injury last season to help Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side to finish the season well. In any case, with his form going through a sluggish phase in the final weeks of last season, it was quite clear that surgery is required.
In spite of the fact that he has a mix of the shoulder, back, and foot injuries, the 23-year-old will focus on fixing the shoulder injury, which will make his return increasingly difficult before the start of next season.
He said: “I have to decide after the tournament. It’s either an operation or I don’t get an operation. Probably my shoulder, but I’m not 100% sure that I need it yet. I could walk into the dressing room, I could show you five, six, seven players, and me as well, who had injuries here…from the beginning of the season…we fought to be successful for the club.”
Unfortunately, the club’s inability to bring in more depth in the attacking positions has left Solksjaer with no other option but to play both Bruno and Rashford in the quest to win a trophy. A lot is on the line and facing challenges is required, however, a club of United’s standards should have two quality players for each position.

This situation has brought a lot of trouble for several United players who are limping and struggling to play in Euros. Maguire has been another player who suffered the injury curse after playing with no rest.
Ideally, Rashford’s point of view is correct and surgery will be the best option for him. This will surely help him to play at his best level and help United compete for trophies next season.
