Marcus Rashford equals a record set by former United legend

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford equaled a 56-year-old record set by the former United great Sir Bobby Charlton at Old Trafford.

Rashford got the first in a 2-0 success over Granada in the Europa League quarter last first leg on Thursday. The huge mark against Granada implies he already has eight goals in European rivalries this season, which approaches the record set by Sir Bobby in 1964-1965.

It’s a huge landmark for him already as he is now in line to break that record which was set by a United legend. Rashford still has games to play in this competition and therefore can extend his own record going forward. Rashford already has six Champions League objectives this term, and now two in the Europa League.

His count is helped by the cap stunt he got against RB Leipzig in the Champions League Initial stages at Old Trafford prior to the season. His presentations have been so important for the Reds right now, with Greenwood being inconsistent and Martial going through a goal-drought, Rashford’s performances have been helping United survive with goals every game.

The 23-year-old will have an incredible possibility of breaking Charlton’s record whenever United arrives at the semi-final stage of the competition. Rashford is certainly deemed as the next United legend because of his consistency and playing with this caliber at such a young age. We all hope that he continues setting more and more records for the club and country.

United defeated Granada 2-0 and made sure that they have kept their place in the semi-finals stage of the Europa League. Goals from Rashford and Fernandes sealed an emphatic win for the Reds.
