Marcus Rashford named Manchester United Player of the Month for February

As reported by the club’s official website, Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford won the February Player of the Month award for his hot goal-scoring streak last month.

The English star scored seven goals in February and was instrumental in helping United overcome Barcelona in the first round of the Europa League knock-out game.

His performances attracted huge fanfare after he scored yet again in the Carabao Cup final match against Newcastle United. His first-half goal helped Erik ten Hag’s side to lift their first trophy in six years.

United are also performing well in the FA Cup and will be facing Fulham in the quarter-finals. They have gathered 10 points of the available 12 points in the Premier League last month.

Rashford won three Man of the Match award in February for his impressive display. It’s fair to say that the United academy graduate has been performing at his peak level since the post-World Cup period.

He has already scored 25 goals this season which is his highest-ever goal-scoring campaign. Rashford, Casemiro and Fred were added to the short-list for the Player of the Month accolade.

However, the former gained the majority of votes and it’s a well-deserved one. United would want their star asset to continue his goal-scoring form as they face fierce rivals Liverpool in a crunch Premier League clash on Sunday.
