Marcus Rashford pays tribute to tennis star Novak Djokovic with a cool Instagram picture

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has paid tribute to tennis star Novak Djokovic for winning his 10th Australian Open.

The Serb defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets to win his 22nd Grand Slam match, and he celebrated by imitating the United forward’s head-pointing gesture.

Footballers Joshua Kimmich and Danny Welbeck, as well as cricketer Jofra Archer, are just a few athletes who have copied the Three Lions star’s signature celebration. After Djokovic’s victory, Rashford was quick to react on Instagram, sharing a picture of the 35-year-old with the GOAT symbol.

With 18 goals in 30 games, Rashford has been in phenomenal form under Erik ten Hag. Despite scoring only five goals in all competitions for United last season, the attacker is obviously thriving under the Dutch coach.

He will be hoping to maintain his strong run of form as United’s Premier League season resumes against Crystal Palace the following Saturday.

Prior to that, United and Nottingham Forest will face off in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal, but with United leading by three goals, Rashford might be given a well-deserved break.

The fans will be eager to watch Rashford score more goals and continue his fine form. After all, the English winger’s celebration has taken the world by storm.
