Anthony Martial looked like a different player last season, as he looked more hungry for goals and showed a great work ethic. The Frenchman was fantastic last season and saved United several times from blushes, with his goals and assists. It has now been revealed that Martial has won the Player’s Player of the Year Award at Manchester United last season.
Martial has led the line very well for United even though he has faced criticism from many legends and pundits. The French centre-forward was United’s highest goalscorer last season in all competitions and was the club’s joint-topscorer in the Premier League along with Rashford. Solskjaer’s faith in Martial and the Frenchman’s hard work has finally paid off as he is now regarded as one of the best forwards in the Premier League.
Last season, Martial played a total of 48 games in which he scored 23 goals and also provided 12 assists. He was pivotal in Manchester United finishing third in the Premier League last season and also reaching the semi-final of the Europa League. Earlier he had also talked about the secret behind his success last season.
