Martial has been heavily criticized in the past for lacking the appetite of goals. But this season he has proven all his critics wrong and has had his best season in senior-level football. He has also turned in on in big games having scored against City and Chelsea this season.
Not just that, Martial has been showing a lot of hunger and has pressed the opposition defences well. His hold-up play has also improved massively, and his dribbling skills are unmatched. Rashford and Martial have been a deadly duo this season, scoring 14 each in the Premier League.
Martial’s form in front of goal will be pivotal for Manchester United’s quest of a top-4 spot, this season. He can save the club from spending millions if he turns out to be consistent like he has done this season. Martial has all that takes to be United’s Number 9, only time will tell if he does justice to his talent.
