Mason Greenwood arrested for breaching his bail regulations

As reported by the Daily Mail, Manchester United attacker Mason Greenwood has been arrested on suspicion of violating the terms of his bail.

After being detained on accusations of rape, assault, and uttering homicidal threats, the 21-year-old was released on bail. Police raided his mansion this morning and have since detained him on suspicion of breaking those terms.

Currently, police are questioning Greenwood on the entire incident. Since being detained for the first time in January 2022, the striker has been waiting to learn his destiny.

He was detained for three nights after being taken into custody at his leased house in Bowdon, Greater Manchester. The English international was granted bail on February 2 and has maintained a low profile ever since. Greenwood was supposed to answer his bail on April 30, but after a court hearing in June, the date was postponed.

The England international is still on United’s suspension list but continues to get his £75,000 weekly wage while waiting for the conclusion of any criminal investigations.

Harriet Robson, who was his then-girlfriend, accused Greenwood of rape and sexual assault after posting images on her Instagram account of what she claimed were acts of abuse from him. Additionally, she released audio recordings of their chats in which the striker is believed to have tried to force her to satisfy his desires.

He was detained after the police were involved in the matter. Since then, he has been free on bond while the case is still being investigated.

Manchester United swiftly issued a statement, dismissing him from the team and barring him from training. While FIFA banned him from the game, Nike also ended their sponsorship agreement with the player.
