A lot has happened between Mason Greenwood and Manchester United this very summer.
Now reports says that the Premier League club has agreed a permanent deal for him with Marseille.
They have agreed in principle with Mason Greenwood, who spent the last season on loan at Getafe.
As reported by The Athletic, the personal terms have been agreed with Greenwood at an overall £26.7m, including a fixed fee of £23.3m but with £3.4m in add-ons that will surely land a decent chunk of any future sale.
Greenwood is flying to France to undergo his medical with Marseille which is fundamentally important for the final completion of the deal.
This deal looks to favor both parties—the player and Manchester United.
If this deal proceeds, then Manchester United will have the highest profit from any of their earlier sold players.

A sum of £23.3m is to be made by Manchester United from that sale as he will become the highest academy graduate to be sold since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, exceeding those of Dean Henderson when he moved to Crystal Palace.
The last nearly two years have been very hurdling for Greenwood.
He was suspended by The Red Devils in January 2022 after his arrest on complaints of alleged attempted rape and sexual assault on his girlfriend.
The case was later discontinued when key witnesses refused to co-operate, hence forcing the Crown Prosecution Service to terminate his charges.
Despite the case being resolved, the Red Devils had determined not to allow Greenwood back into the squad at all and confirmed last August that he would not be reinstated to the first team.
Asked about Greenwood’s future, the United manager said the decision lies in the end with the club management.
“I can’t say so much about it. But what I said is that I shared my opinion about it, so let’s see what’s going to happen and what’s going to be the decision,” The Mirror quoted as Ten Hag’s point of view.
Last season, Greenwood played 36 games for Getafe, scoring 10 goals.
In the Manchester United jersey, he has played 129 games and scored 35 times since 2019.
