Matheus Cunha In, Sancho Out? Man Utd Target £60m Forward

Manchester United is gearing up for a hectic summer filled with possible additions and departures as the transfer window draws closer and Matheus Cunha, a forward for Wolves is on their radar.

United reportedly tracked Cunha during the previous season and is preparing a £60 million offer for the Brazilian according to Mirror Sport.

Ten Hag prioritizes adding a new attacker because the team currently only has two established strikers, namely, Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford.

After permanently joining Wolves from Atletico Madrid, Matheus Cunha has had an outstanding season netting 14 goals (12 of which came in the Premier League) and dishing out 8 assists.

Apart from Matheus Cunha, Schalke’s youthful midfield player Assan Ouedraogo is another player that United is monitoring.

Ouedraogo was supposed to sign with Bayern Munich but reports from Sky Germany suggest that several Premier League teams including Aston Villa, Liverpool and Newcastle are now considering signing him.

The contract of the 18-year-old contains a £12 million release clause which needs to be activated by mid-June.

Even if a ligament injury kept him out for several months of the previous campaign, Ouedraogo made a significant contribution to Schalke in Bundesliga 2.

Matheus Cunha in, Jadon Sancho out ?  Future.

Sebastian Kehl, the sporting director of Borussia Dortmund has made remarks regarding Jadon Sancho’s future.

Sancho has been on loan from Manchester United since January.

Despite the team’s defeat in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, Sancho made a comeback at Dortmund making a major contribution.

Kehl acknowledged the need for more talks and negotiations and expressed doubt about landing Sancho in a long-term contract.

“Dortmund does not have a buyout option for Sancho because he is still bound to Manchester United under contract. To be honest I don’t know yet but it was great to have him for the last six months”

Kehl said to TNT Sports.

He improved the calibre of our team and we need to talk and negotiate because the situation is fairly clear: he still has a contract with Manchester United and we do not have a buy option. That might or might not work. Initially, though I’m hoping the price can go up.”

These prospective transfer talks show Manchester United’s intention to enhance their club’s strength and address important issues to make sure they are ready for the challenges that lie ahead as the team plans for the upcoming campaign.
