Manchester United have finally won their first game in the Premier League this season as the Red Devils won 1-0 against West Brom. The Red Devils failed to kill the game off though with a second goal, which would have given the Red Devils breathing space. In his latest interview with MUTV, Nemanja Matic has said that Manchester United need to have the killer instinct.
The Red Devils have had a poor start to the season as they have struggled both offensively and defensively. United, under Solskjaer, have failed to score against sides that sit back deep and defend as the quick players don’t get space to run onto. In his latest interview, Nemanja Matic has re-instated the fact the Manchester United should see off games better.
In his interview, Matic said: “When we score first we have to go on and kill the game as soon as possible, especially in the Premier League. We have to improve on that. We have to make sure that next time we have more concentration in attack and make sure we try to kill the game early.”
Manchester United have an outside chance of challenging for the Premier League title this season with none of the teams consistent yet. The Red Devils need to win games more often and cling on to the leads and extend it when they score first as they are good while chasing games. The likes of Martial and Rashford need to take their chances but the duo have squandered opportunities till now in the Premier League this season.
