Matic talks about United’s ambitions

Nemanja Matic was one of the best players for Manchester United in the last season and has revamped his career. Lately, Matic has had a talk with UTD Podcast has emphasized how United need to be better next season.

It has also been reported by the Manchester Evening News that Matic has retired from international football, with immediate effect. This also means that Matic will play less football across the season and is expected to be fresh throughout without international football.  Matic has excelled in a midfield trio of him, Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, and has also been the key to United’s success since January.

In his talk with UTD Podcast, the Serbian has also emphasized United’s need to challenge in the Premier League. He said: “From the next season there is no excuse. We have to go with everything, we have to fight for the title because I felt that this year we dropped some points too easy.”

Matic has also said: “We allowed Liverpool to win (the title), I don’t know, 10 games before the season finished. They won the league, so we cannot allow that. We need to fight to the end. We have to play with more confidence, with more responsibility.” Manchester United need to start better next season and are expected to be better next season.
