Manchester United have had one of the worst starts to the Premier League with only three points in three games. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hasn’t been reportedly backed in the transfer window as the board didn’t sign any of is priority signings. It is now being reported by The Express that Massimiliano Allegri is in line to replace Solskjaer if the Norwegian fails this season.
It has been already reported that United have been in talks with Mauricio Pochetinno, and want him to be the next manager of Manchester United. Solskjaer is already on the edge with losses against Crystal Palace and Tottenham. In his next few run of games, his fortune might be sealed as United face PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal and RB Leipzig.
It has now been reported Max Allegri is also in line for the job of Manchester United manager once Solskjaer fails. Allegri has been out of job since the summer of 2019 after he left Juventus, and is eager to get back to football. Allegri surely has a reputation to win, but his philosophy might be boring and too much to handle for the United fanbase.
The United board should be concerned with backing Solskjaer and the results this season, rather than waiting to sack him and hire someone else.
