Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been in the firing line recently with Manchester United’s poor start to the Premier League season. With a poor transfer window and a bad start to the season, there already have been rumours of getting Solskjaer replaced with Mauricio Pochettino. In his latest talk with TV2, United midfielder Scott McTominay has cleared that the team is behind Solskjaer amidst the chaos.
It was earlier reported that even the club’s talisman, Bruno Fernandes was vocal about Solskjaer’s tactics in the Tottenham loss, in the dressing room. Many pundits believe that the Norwegian hasn’t been backed in the transfer window which has sealed his fate as United boss. But Solskjaer will look to do his best and the coming few weeks might influence his time as the United boss.
In such a crucial time, McTominay has come out and said: “The whole club is behind him. We believe in every word he says, and it’s not just him. We trust every word from Mike Phelan, Kieran McKenna, Michael Carrick and the entire support staff.” The Scottish international lauds Solskjaer job he has done at Old Trafford.
There is no doubt that Solskjaer has done a good job at United last season, but he needs to do the same this season to have any chance of staying put as Manchester United’s manager.
