Manchester United academy graduate, Scott McTominay is one of the most passionate players in the current Manchester United squad. The Scot has also been a part of Solskjaer’s squad as the Norwegian trusts McTominay to do the job assigned to him well. In his recent talk with Manchester United’s Official Website, McTominay has talked about his wish to score more goals for the Red Devils.
Scott McTominay has become an integral member of Solskjaer’s squad because of his ruggedness and sheer determination. The United manager has always reverted back to McTominay in almost every big game as McTominay gives it his all for Manchester United in the midfield. In his latest interview, McTominay has shown a different side of himself, as he talks about scoring goals.
In his talk, McTominay said: “I need to score more. Something in your mind just clicks together and you start to have a real belief. Against Chelsea, I had the first contact and should have done better, whenever you’re getting in from a corner. The game before, in Paris, I had two opportunities. So, it is just that mentality, going into games really believing you can score goals.”
Scott McTominay plays in a withdrawn position for Manchester United as he is physically strong and quick which is important for Solskjaer. But, McTominay is a danger to the opposition in set-plays because of his aerial prowess and has a good shooting boot as well. Solskjaer would hope McTominay comes up with more important goals throughout the season.
