3 Most Underrated Manchester United Players Of All Time

Manchester United may have risen to greatness but there were some of their players that was left in the background for whatever may be the case.

This may not have it relations to racism but the fact remains that some of their player are not widely regarded as the orders.

While the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Cristiano Ronaldo may have made the headlines for the Red Devil along with Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

However, there are some of the players from this prestigious clubs that may have been relegated to the background.

On this note, we take a look at some of these players as the Red Devils aims to storm back to greatness under Manchester United current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

3. Wes Brown

The English man does not enjoy enough follower-ship like the likes of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra.

This is despite his involvement and team play in United success story down the lane. He’s relatively an underrated player as he doesn’t have the clout that the aforementioned players had at the club.

Brown provided the cross that got Cristiano Ronaldo score to give Manchester United a 1-0 lead against Chelsea. This was in the UEFA Champions League Finals in Moscow.

The quality of the cross made it easy for the tall talismanic Ronaldo to find the breakthrough that the Red Devils need at the moment.

That’s how good he was as he was versatile on the pitch as well for Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.

2. John O’Shea

The former Manchester United defender cum midfield is not eulogized as his Red Devils team mate despite the success he achieved with the club.

He’s served the club playing in several positions; both in defend and in the midfield. He could have been more appreciated at United but he’s underrated compared to the reputation attached to his status at Old Trafford.

He’s enjoyed a fulfilling career at Old Trafford joining up with the English giants at age of 17. This was the case for the Irish man as his career ended on a low key evaluation to say the least.

1. Park JI-Sung

The talented South Korean star was exceptional playing for Manchester United. He moved to the Red Devils following his imperious performances at the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup.

Ferguson brought him in at the club and he was a success in the attack alongside the trio of Wayne Rooney, (Carlos Tevez/Louis Saha) and Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, he could not enjoy more mention in the media like the aforementioned trio and even as Paul Scholes did despite his memorable display at Old Trafford. He scored vital goals against Premier League rivals like Arsenal and Chelsea.

This could be taken note of following his usefulness in the course of a game. He’s got the energy to attack the opposition with speed while tracking back for defensive duties to help out his teammate.

He deserves more value and honour among the fans as Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son is emulating his legacy (positive) for Manchester United in the Premier League for Spurs.
