Jesse Lingard has become one of the most infamous players in the Manchester United squad as the player has failed to produce for the last couple of years. The Englishman has found it difficult to get game-time under his belt, since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes. But it is now being reported by the Daily Star that Tottenham have recently shown an interest in signing Jesse Lingard.
The 27-year old English international was one of Solskjaer’s favourites at the beginning of last season but disappointed him massively. He only managed to get one goal in the entire Premier League season, coming on the last matchday. Due to his poor performances, he is now finding it difficult to even find a place in United’s bench, let alone the starting XI.
It is now being reported that former United manager Jose Mourinho wants Lingard at Tottenham. Lingard was fantastic at United under Mourinho and was highly regarded by fans all over the world. The Portuguese manager now wants him at Tottenham, and it has been reported that United will ask about £30m for Jesse Lingard.
Manchester United will be happy with Lingard’s sale as it would bring United much-needed cash, which could be used in further recruits.
