Moyes takes a dig at United

Manchester United FC face West Ham later tonight, which is managed by the former Red Devils manager David Moyes. David Moyes managed United for a span of nine months after he replaced Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm of Manchester United. With West Ham’s press conference before tonight’s game, Moyes has taken a slight dig at United and its owners the Glazers.

Moyes was given the difficult task of replacing Sir Alex Ferguson at the beginning of the 2013/14 season. Moyes inherited a squad which won the Premier League the previous season and added a few players of his liking. Moyes was unable to add any significant player to his United squad other than Fellaini, who was labelled as a panic buy.

Moyes was relieved of his duties only nine months later after underwhelming performances from his United side. When asked about Solskjaer and his performance as the manager of the Red Devils Moyes said the Norwegian had done well. But he also emphasized on the fact that Solskjaer is getting more time than Moyes ever got at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer had a difficult start to his season at Old Trafford but has been given time and money by the board. And now the belief and trust of the board finally seem to be paid on the pitch with good performances. This is why Moyes has shown his frustration as he was given only nine months at the helm of United.

Manchester United are looking to get a victory against Moyes’s Hammers to get into the top-four of the Premier League table. United are tied on points with fourth-placed Leicester City who are above the Red Devils only on goals scored. The Red Devils will be eager to get a victory against West Ham and take important three points from the fixture.

On the other hand, Moyes will try his level best to spoil the party for Solskjaer and his United side. West Ham have been in good form lately and might pull off an upset against the Red Devils. No matter the result, it will always be believed that Moyes’s time at the club was torrid.
