Napoli defender Kim Min-jae has accepted a transfer to Manchester United

According to the Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Napoli defender Kim Min-jae has ‘accepted the transfer’ to Manchester United this summer.

The centre-back has been named as the top defensive target for the Red Devils, and it was just recently claimed that the South Korean has been ‘convinced’ to join the club at Old Trafford.

According to recent reports, the 26-year-old has approved a transfer to the Manchester-based club. United has also notified Napoli that they are prepared to fully pay his €56 million buy-out clause.

Over the previous few weeks, Min-Jae has been frequently linked with a move to United, although a deal cannot be finalised until July 1–15 when his overseas release clause would be in effect.

A Premier League top-four finish may potentially affect a transfer. A member of Kim’s agency revealed that the chance to play in the Champions League would be key.

Therefore, United will need to work hard to sign the South Korean sensation. We believe that the team should defeat Liverpool to claim the final Champions League spot, which might facilitate the deal.

Min-jae’s outstanding defensive abilities make him an excellent addition to United. This season, he has completed 91% of his passes while making an average of 1.6 tackles and winning 4.7 duels.

Additionally, the defender averages 3.6 successful clearances every game. In our opinion, he would be the ideal challenger for Raphael Varane, who is prone to injuries and may contend for a starting position.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire’s exit this summer may be impacted by his arrival.
