Manchester United was unable to defeat a spirited Leicester side at their home ground. Another loss for us and now we have gathered just one point from our past three games. A disappointing loss against Aston Villa and now Leicester City, nothing seems to be going right at this moment.
The midfield combination of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic failed to deliver and were poor defensively, but they are not the only culprits. The whole back-line was numb yesterday and had no answers for the pacy Leicester attackers.
Manchester United’s unbeaten away game record also comes to an end with this defeat.
After the match, the news of sacking the manager and dropping few players was making the rounds on social media. Nemanja Matic understands this frustration and has said that when you play for a club like Manchester United, you should win.
While speaking to MUTV, He said:
“Of course we are disappointed.”
“Everyone is sad, everyone is a bit head down at the moment. But when you play for Man United, if you don’t win the game, of course, you are disappointed.”
“But we have to stick together, it’s time to stick together. To analyze this game as soon as possible, then to think about the next one which is in three, four days against a very good side, Atalanta.”

It does seem that the club is looking for a change and right now the current system doesn’t fulfill the standards of playing for Manchester United. The players will back each other, the manager will be backed by the board, but for how long.
If they want to bring the energy back into the team, they need to be consistent and dominant. As tough games are approaching closer, the fate of the manager and the players is hanging by a thread.
