Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has admitted that preseason is really important for the players to prepare for the long season. United will play their final preseason game against Everton on the 7th of August.
While having an interview with MUTV, Matic said: “Yeah. The most important thing always is to prepare your body for the long season and to be physically ready. If you train very well during pre-season then you have fewer injuries. They are part of football, especially as we have so many games, but the important thing is to be physically ready and you have to use every pre-season for that.”
The preseason games have been helping Solksjaer and his teams and especially for the young players. They have got more game time and will be able to access their fitness. Such games help the players to prepare well for the long season ahead. Manchester United has already played against Derby County, QPR, and Brentford.
