Paul Pogba has had a difficult start to life on and off the pitch this season, getting bashed by the media. The Frenchman has lately not done well for his nation and Manchester United after suffering from the coronavirus during the summer. In his recent interview with TF1, French international N’golo Kante has defended his teammate and midfield partner Paul Pogba, from the recent criticism.
Pogba has been at the middle of a lot of criticism and talk lately due to his lethargic performances. The Frenchman hasn’t been at his normal best for France as well, which might be a concern for Deschamps and Pogba himself. But amongst all the chaos, Kante has defended Pogba having sighted his injury concerns as a reason for his bad run of form.
In his interview, Pogba said: “Yes it is true, with Paul it has been a little while he’s been injured, a little while since I played with him. We all remember the World Cup, that whole adventure we did together, the qualifications stage and the competition, and it is a pleasure again to be playing with Paul in the national team.”
Pogba has done very well in his last couple of games for the Les Blues, against Portugal and Sweden. But there is absolutely no doubt over Pogba’s abilities and talent as he has time and again shown that he is a world-class player. The World Cup winner needs to be consistent with his performances at Manchester United which will be better for him and the club also.
