Ole confirms that fringe players Marcus Rojo and Sergio Romero will leave

Solskjaer confirms that Marcus Rojo and Sergio Romero will be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season. Solksjaer has spent a considerable amount of time at the club and has a fixed idea of which team he wants to play.

Many of the fringe players in the side have had their future influx in recent times and with the financial burden mounting on the club due to the current pandemic it only feels right that some of these players are let go to ease of the wage books of the club.

Romero has been frustrated with the lack of opportunities that he has been getting and chances are even harder to come by now that Manchester United has recalled their star loanee Dean Henderson from Sheffield United.

Marcos Rojo has lowered even further on the pecking order that many must have even forgotten about him which is why this move seems like it could be a win-win for Manchester united as well as the Argentinean.

It seems that this decision was inevitable after appoint and this happening sooner rather than later is a good thing. What is left to see is whether there will be any offers lined up for them once their contract expires.

Both Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo seem to be well past their prime as they are 33 and 30 years old respectively. It is highly unlikely that any top team in Europe would want to sign them at this period but some of the mid-level clubs may very well be interested in their services.
