Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits his mistake with Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has always been in the limelight at Manchester United, irrespective of how he has performed on the pitch. The Frenchman is arguably one of the best midfielders in the world but hasn’t started the season well in the Premier League. In his recent post-match press conference, Solskjaer has admitted that it was probably his fault to field Pogba in the first few games of the season.

After the loss to Tottenham in the Premier League, Pogba has not started a game for the Red Devils. Solskjaer has brought him on at the hour mark rather and gradually Pogba looks fitter and better. The World Cup winner has played well against PSG and Chelsea and finally looks ready to start United’s next game against RB Leipzig.

In his press conference, Solskjaer said “I think Paul, all three games this week, he’s really come on and made a very positive impact. He’s been out for a while with coronavirus this summer, so he’s getting better and better and maybe more his shape. Maybe I was unfair to him starting him that early in the first few games but he’s coming on and he’s done great when he’s come on.”

One his day, Paul Pogba has the capability to unlock any defence and take a game by the scruff of its neck with his abilities. The midfielder needs to prove himself again as critics seem to dwell over him all the time. His return to fitness will only be music to the ears of Solskjaer who will hope to make Pogba the best midfielder in the world once again.
